During the Season of Easter. . .
The parament color for Easter is white, which is the color of purity and completeness. The theme for the “great fifty days” of Easter is supported by the use of white. This color, used primarily during these Sundays, assists in bearing the message that “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.”
Christ's triumph from the grave on Resurrection day is the cause for our rejoicing. His purity before his Father becomes our purity. White reinforces that message of joy.

Welcome to Ascension!
We are located at 3801 Oakwood Avenue NW in Huntsville, Alabama. Not only do we have a building that is visible from the street, but we also have a preschool and child development center (Ascension Lutheran CDC) that is behind the main church building.
We have two worship services on Sunday morning with Bible study for children, youth and adults between the two services. We also conduct a Monday evening service. Special services are held during the seasons of Advent (four weeks before Christmas) and Lent (six weeks before Easter). Our schedules are posted for these services as the special seasons approach.
"Drive-In" services on Sunday mornings are available at both 8:00 and 10:45 AM. Come to the parking lot and tune your vehicle radio to FM 88.7. Listen to the service in your vehicle.
The church's office hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Our phone number is (256) 536-9987.
Ascension's preschool and child development center has openings for infants through preschool, this year. We are licensed by the state of Alabama.
